Today, Max and I fly down to Las Vegas for the weekend. This trip is officially in honor of our ninth anniversary, even though our anniversary was actually in August. It speaks volumes about our busy lives that this was the first free weekend we could find.

Now, I’ve already been on more planes than I really care for lately. But it’s important in any relationship to for people to step out of the everyday world and spend time alone together, so we are. Yay!

And even if I do have to get on another plane, this is going to be a great trip. We got tickets to go see – you’re going to love this – Elton John. Seriously! I love Elton John. (At least his older stuff. I’d sooner listen to cats in heat than “Candle In The Wind”.) And you know Elton John is going to put on one heck of a Las Vegas show. My darling Max has never ever been to Vegas. So I wanted us to go see something really classic like this, with sequins and backup dancers and all that jazz. I got us practically front-row seats, so that’ll be fun.

Otherwise, we’re just going to be relaxed and wander around The Strip. We’re not big gamblers, but I’m sure we’ll do some slot machines or something. I’m still in my “don’t spend money on clothes” mode. (And retailers are apparently missing me.) So no shopping!

But I think we’re going to go check out this place: The Erotic Heritage Museum. My pal Jeff Gord has some stuff displayed there. Be amusing to see if it’s anything I’ve watched him use in his real kinky life.

I’ll send images to the Flickr and notes to the Twitter. Otherwise, have a nice weekend.
